Current Research

Current Research Summary My Current research is to re-annotate the Caldicellulosiruptor saccharolyticus genome as a new approach to identify the missing or new genes connected to hydrogen production. Reconstructing the metabolic pathways necessary for cell growth and energy metabolism and to carry out elementary flux mode analysis for studying the biochemical behavior of carbon metabolism pathway in C. saccharolyticus. Overall the objective is to improve the performance of the organism of interest i.e. Caldicellulosiruptor saccharolyticus so that it can be made economically suitable for commercial hydrogen production.
