Post Doctoral Fellows, Ph.D, M.S students, project trainees
You are encouraged to apply only if you are a genuinely interested candidate who is aware of an interested in the research focus of the Ion channel biology laboratory. You would be part of projects which involve electrophysiology, molecular biology and cellular biology. Only proactive, candidates ready for a goal oriented research need apply.
As part of your application you are expected to send along with your application, a write up (<500 words) on a project that you would like to do at the Ion channel biology laboratory. The project proposal should be meaningful, non-plagiarised, and should reflect your understanding of the field based on the research papers that you have read. The write up would be a key factor in short listing your application for further consideration. You would then be called in for a discussion of your research interests. You would also have to arrange for reference letters to be sent to me. Candidates with CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR/GATE fellowships would be given preference.
It is expected that you would commit to working at the Ion Channel Biology Laboratory for a certain minimum duration:
Short Term Trainees: Minimum of 3 months
Long Term Trainees: Minimum of 6 months
Research Fellows: Minimum of 2 years
PhD and postdoctoral fellows: As per Anna University guidelines
